Friday The 13th

The new Friday the 13th is already a hit among the teenagers and might emulate the success of the original flick in no time. People are happy that they get a fair dose of blood, gore and sex on screen. The film has all the three essential elements - good suspense, sex between young couples and some real stomach wrenching death scenes.
The Friday the 13th movie does not waste time in character development or the introduction of the 'stars' through different scenes. The movie right away jumps onto what it knows best. It has a healthy dose of violence, blood and sex.
The Friday the 13th movie tells the original story in a new format. The film opens with Jason Voorhees' mother tormenting and ultimately a group of young campers. The campers actually killed Jason and paid a heavy price for it. This is the introductory sequence of the film. The film then shifts focus to the present day where were see a group of attractive hikers going through the woods in search of marijuana plants.
The rest of the film is a bit of dj vu. Jason attacks all the campers in a gruesome manner and blood flows at will. If you are a big fan of horror genre then you are in for some real feast from now on. Anyway, the story moves forward. After waiting for six weeks, Clay Miller decides to come to Crystal Lake in search of her missing sister and once he reaches there he encounters a group of college kids who has gone there to spend the weekend in a cabin near the lake.
You might feel all the versions of Friday the 13th are more or less the same with people going to the woods and getting killed by a sadistic Jason. But still there is a sense of aura surrounding such films which prompts you to watch them in spite of knowing beforehand the likely turn of events. There is a promotion for Jason though. Apart from the usual machete he uses a variety of weapons to spill blood on screen. The weapons range from axe, ice pick, bears traps, bow and arrow to anything that is sharp enough to kill somebody.
The film will be a huge hit with teenagers as it has a good deal of violence, sex scenes and chases. But these are all what makes a good bloody horror film. Performances of the leads are pretty ordinary throughout except perhaps Jared Padalecki who plays the brother's part. He does justice to his role and let's hope that he gets some good offers after this. He has the potential to make it big.
I can't imagine anybody spending to buy tickets to watch this movie at the cinema. This is really not worth it. Instead I recommend that you watch Friday the 13th online free and enjoy all the blood and gore. The movie is strictly for mature audiences. It has loads of love making scenes, drinking sessions and weed smoking. So it is a typical teenage horror movie but a gripping one though.
